Board Transition at Klinik Arlesheim AG

Arlesheim Clinic development

The current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Philipp Schneider, is retiring after 15 years of dedicated service on the Board, nine of them as Chairman. During his tenure, he oversaw the merger of the Lukas and Ita Wegman Clinics to form Klinik Arlesheim AG. He played a key role in shaping the present and future of the clinic by introducing flat hierarchies, establishing a four-person clinic management team with shared responsibility and equal decision-making powers, and introducing management tandems in the departments. He played a key role in the design, implementation and financing of the clinic's pioneering new timber building. The Arlesheim Clinic would like to thank Philipp Schneider for his many years of commitment.

With immediate effect, Alexander Schwedeler and Kalle Zeller, both long-standing members of the Board of Directors, will take over the management of Klinik Arlesheim AG as Co-Chairmen.
Alexander Schwedeler has more than 20 years of experience in finance and is now a management consultant. His expertise in business management and strategic consulting will be of great benefit to the clinic.

As a trained teacher, headmaster and politician, Kalle Zeller has in-depth knowledge of education and social policy. His experience in construction, as well as his participation and leadership in municipal and cantonal committees, is of great value to the Clinic. His extensive network is an important resource for the further development of the Arlesheim Clinic.
Monika Layer, a qualified nurse, has also been elected to the Board of Directors. She brings with her a wide range of expertise in nursing, education and management. The Board of Directors of Klinik Arlesheim AG now consists of the following members: Giacun Capaul (Vice-Chairman), Monika Layer, Marc Schläppi, Alexander Schwedeler (Co-Chairman), Kalle Zeller (Co-Chairman), Seija Zimmermann (Vice-Chairwoman).
