Getting closer to the essence of colours by creating images

Elke Bühler, artist and art therapist, invites us to get closer to the essence of colours in her pictorial design.

Visual design takes centre stage and appears as the main motif in her works, her constant concern. The pictures are created by feeling, listening and being open to what is becoming. At the beginning there is a joyful play of colours with the unknown that wants to unfold. Then new spaces awaken, spaces in between, front and back, above and below, centre and periphery. The essences of the colours can gradually be found and revealed. Layer by layer, the pictures become a colour sound, something that wants to be touched, awakened.

For Elke Bühler, creating pictures is often a struggle, an endurance, a searching and finding in mindfulness and devotion. At some point, a feeling of inner peace and fulfilment arises as we feel the colourful spheres.

When we look at the "finished" paintings in this exhibition, we can trace the essence of the colour tones and their transparency. Spaces open up between the visible and the invisible, between this world and the hereafter.

Elke Bühler has been a painting therapist since 1999 and a freelance artist since 1975, having trained at the Assenza Painting School in Dornach.

The exhibition in the foyer of the clinic is open daily from 5 March to 28 April 2024 from 8 am to 8 pm (Sunday from 9 am to 8 pm).
